In the early 2000s, the Youth Law mandated professional registration in youth care, overseen by the organizon SKJ. This study assessed the impact on professionality using a framework (Berger & Zwikker, 2010), employing document analysis and interviews. Positive effects included training incentives and access to guidelines, but areas for improvement were identified. The study suggests further research on the SKJ's establishment and its impact on youth care professionalism is warranted.
