dc.subjectThis paper examines the relationship between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and company performance, with a focus on the moderating role of board characteristics. Utilizing panel data analysis, the study investigates 429 companies of EUROSTOXX 600 from 2012 to 2022. The financial performance measures, Return on Assets (ROA) and Tobin's q, are employed to gauge company performance. The findings reveal a significant and negative relationship between ESG and its components.
