dc.subject | This thesis examines how restrictions on women in Afghanistan have affected widows and NGOs providing these widows with aid since the 2021 Taliban take-over. It does so by comparing top-down and bottom-up interventions, and provides an example of the latter through a case study of Peace Village for Afghanistan Development Organization's Food Security Project. It highlights the importance of these interventions in overcoming the obstacles that women face as a result of human rights violations. | |
