This study focused on the relationship between the moisture patterns on pedestal rocks and the local environment, in an attempt to answer the question whether the terrain features surrounding the pedestal rocks have an influence on the moisture distribution inside the rocks. Structure-from-motion photogrammetry was used to model the surroundings of the pedestal rocks, which resulted in a 3D point cloud of the study sites.
