dc.subjectThis research closely investigates students’ experiences of temporarily moving to the Netherlands for academic purposes based on cultural adaptation theory and Young Yun Kim’s stress-adaptation-growth model. In-depth interviews with six students enrolled in the master program Intercultural Communication at Utrecht University serve to create detailed insight in experiences directly related to social support, psychological health, functional fitness and an intercultural identity.
