This thesis discusses how the lesbian identity and self-acceptance of Anne, the main character of the Dutch television show ANNE+, is portrayed and constructed, especially in her relationship with Sara. Anne identifies herself as a lesbian, while Sara is questioning in the first season and unlabelled in the second season. Furthermore, both characters are also at different stages of self-acceptance. Thus, how are these concepts portrayed and constructed in ANNE+?
