dc.subject | The increasing growth of the global population causes an increase in road density. This causes fragmentation of natural habitats and has a negative effect on biodiversity. However, accompanying roads are verges, strips of land that could serve a purpose in battling the negative effects of roads and fragmentation. By reviewing literature, the potential of verges to replace natural habitats and provide services for nature and humans was investigated. | |
