This longitudinal study aimed to shed light on attitude change towards large carnivores in Europe, with a focus on the lynx, wolf and bear. In 2022, 120 surveys were conducted with residents in the Czech Beskydy region, and compared with findings from the years 2000 and 2010. Respondents indicated a shift in personal attitudes towards coexistence, but perceived a shift towards conflict when asked about human-carnivore interactions at the societal level.
