Extrapolating from general knowledge on herpesviruses, EEHV glycoproteins gB and gH/gL could be sufficient for entry and fusion in vitro, or additional EEHV glycoproteins may be required. This work encompasses the first crucial steps towards an EEHV cell fusion assay, which is essential for the eventual measurement of protective antibody responses against EEHV and potential vaccine candidates. | |
