dc.subject	Art is of added value to the medical world. Scientific research shows: for one, art (observation) is beneficial to medical students, doctors, and patients. And secondly, looking at art improves observational skills and fosters empathy. These elements converge in the LUMC hospital and their art collection and medical education programme.
