Part of this MSc Research Project was to analyse the: Remediation efficiency of diesel contaminated sites and Screenig with LNAPL-weathering code RT3D-OW and CO2 Tauw Rekentool. The RT3D-OW code is used for researching the risk of spreading of the diesel components. Hereby two with diesel (C9-C26) contaminated sites within the Netherlands are selected as test sites for application of this code. In combination with other factors the modelling is used as a guiding principle to give an indication regarding to the spreading on one side against concerning the costs, CO2 emission, time aspects etc. of a remediation on the other side; and taking this along in the decision making process for remediation. The quantity of C02 released during such a remediation and or monitoring is calculated by means of the C02-TAUW CALCULATION TOOL.
