This thesis presents a qualitative research on how innovative work behaviour is influenced by dynamics that occur on the work floor within an employee-manager relationship and an employee-co-worker relationship. Data was collected through in depth interviews with eight employees of seven innovative oriented organisations in the Netherlands. Six promoting dynamics and three hindering dynamics for innovative work behaviour were identified. Underlying mechanisms of these dynamics were explained to provide a comprehensive view on the social interactions that take place on the work influencing innovative work behaviour.
