This thesis is an exploration of the Aristotelian concept eudaimonia and the way it can be used as a framework within the current discussion about the funding of the humanities and social sciences in particular and the value of university education in general. It does so by exploring both the origins of eudaimonia and its application to education, its value as an argument and the way an eudaimonic framework would impact university education.
