This research investigated whether there is a positive relationship between certain work features and psychological availability of parents in dual-earner couples for their children. The three work features investigated in this research were positive social interactions, autonomy and self-actualization. An online survey was conducted among 110 Dutch dual-earner couples with children. Two regression analyses were computed to measure a possible relationship between the work features and psychological availability. A single regression analysis was computed to find a possible relationship between positive social interactions and psychological availability. A multiple regression analysis was computed to find a possible relationship between autonomy, self-actualization and psychological availability. The findings showed that there were no significant relationships.
