dc.description.abstract | This thesis discusses a number of the translation problems, in particular the nonce-formations and personifications, in Daisy Johnson’s Everything Under and what the likely solutions to these problems would be, were this novel to be translated for Dutch publisher De Fontein. A synopsis of the source text will be provided, in addition to a discussion of this translation. The research question is: what are the translation problems in Johnson’s Everything Under and what are the possible and most desirable solutions to these problems? | |
