dc.description.abstract | Between 1933 and 1945, Germany turned into one of the most racially obsessed nations in history. Because of the dominant impression of Nazi-Germany, the period before 1933 is often neglected. Therefore this thesis tries to illuminate this period in history, a time in which the idea of white racial superiority played a major role all over the Western hemisphere. By comparing the United States, Britain, Germany and Australia, the most plausible causes for racial legislation to be institutionalised are analysed. | |
