dc.description.abstract | The Forward Calorimeter (FoCal) prototype, which is a digital pixel sensor calorime-
ter, is made up of absorbing material and active volumes. In the active volumes three
different types of chips have been implemented which differ in sensitivity. The differ-
ences in sensitivity have been corrected by carrying out a calibration procedure. The
calibration procedure is applied to SPS measurements with particle beams of respec-
tively an energy E of 30, 50, 100 and 244 GeV. As a result 96 calibration factors
are attained. The calibration factors are applied to the raw data to obtain calibrated
longitudinal hit profiles. | |
