dc.description.abstract | In this thesis we shall examine two instances of a metapopulation model as introduced by Diekmann. Doing so we encounter some well-known techniques often used in delay differential equations on a simpler level then is done in most existing literature. Clear examples of the usage of the method of steps, exponential scaling and the linearisation of a delay equation are given. | |
