An epistemic discourse analysis of the conceptions of citizenship of the political parties represented in the Dutch Senate during the WMO 2007 and WMO 2015 debates. My thesis uses the sociocognitive framework for studying political discourse and the way in which the mental models of language users mediate between shared sociocultural knowledge, societal structures, and actual text and talk. My thesis will allow scientists for a more fundamental understanding of political discourse.
