Scholars have highlighted a gap in current literature, namely the intersection between Social Network Theory, Networking Ecosystems and Social Entrepreneurship. We have attempted to contribute to these debates by conducting a case study in the network dynamics at a physical network organization. Using anthropological methods in combination with theories from management studies and sociology, we have analyzed these dynamics and come to the conclusion that in order to succeed as a Networking Organization, an open atmosphere is needed where social interaction is stimulated and initiatives supported. At the Social Impact Factory we encountered several limitations that stressed the importance of managing an network and the value of ethnographic inquiry within business studies.
