dc.description.abstract | In this thesis I analyse George Orwell's The Road to Wigan Pier, and make my own translation based on several excerpts. I also take a look at the 1973 translation by Joop Waasdorp, and make the case for why Orwell's novel should be retranslated, now 40 years after Waasdorp's translation. | |
