This thesis looks at the viability of the application of YouTube Shakespeare as a group-based, creative filmmaking project within the context of two literature courses in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). After describing the pedagogical framework of filmmaking and YouTube Shakespeare, this thesis looks closely at the IBDP, explaining why this programme and which courses are relevant to the content of this thesis. In chapter four, a lesson plan is created that shows how YouTube Shakespeare can be employed for the courses in question.
