In this thesis the electron data collected from the proton synchrotron at CERN with the Forward Calorimeter prototype is studied. First the composition of the beam was studied. After that, an unexpected peak was found in the distribution of hits of the data taken with particular parameter settings, which was caused by two runs with faulty pedestals and two faulty layers. It was also found that calibrating the data did not result in a narrower distribution of hits. It is not clear what caused the calibration factors that were used, to fail. One possible explanation is that the calibration factors used, were incorrect.
