dc.description.abstractIn this twofold thesis, theory on charactonyms, translation of (children's) literature and the Harry Potter books are used to analyse the way the names are translated from English to Dutch. Conclusions drawn from this theory and analysis will be used to translate an original story by J.K. Rowling that takes place in the Harry Potter universe.
