This research aimed to provide new insights within the field of imagology by looking into the representation of national cultures in the animated Disney classic Cinderella, and to research whether the representation of these national cultures has changed in the live-action adaptations of this classic. Additionally, by looking into the representation of national cultures in Disney films, the present paper will present a basis to gaining more understanding about how the media can influence audiences’ perceptions of certain national cultures.
