The new tasks for municipalities due to the decentralisations in the social sector since the first of January 2015 resulted in new responsibilities and challenges. How to offer healthcare of good quality within budget? The current information provision does not provide the desired answers. This research investigated the possibilities of a dashboard as information provision tool to monitor formulated objectives in the social sector. The emphasis was on the use of location-based information to fuel this dashboard and finally, how to visualise the different Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that represent the formulated objectives and together form the dashboard.
