dc.description.abstract | In this thesis I study the claim that the face that is visible on the Shroud of Turin contains some three-dimensional information. I do so with the aid of the computer vision technique called morphable models. I analyze how an implementation of such a model acts when given three-dimensional meshes obtained from real faces, from noise functions and finally from the Shroud face image, trying to understand whether the outputs of the model can be used to classify the inputs. | |
