dc.description.abstractIn this thesis we study Pyragas control, a form of time–delayed feedback control that stabilizes unstable periodic solutions of differential equations. We first give an introduction to the theory of differential delay equations. We then apply the Pyragas control scheme to the normal form of the Hopf bifurcation and show for which values of parameters stability can be achieved.
