dc.description.abstractThis study focuses on the role of indigenized English in primary education in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Cultural and linguistic influences on syllabi and the part culture plays in the curriculum that was published by the Pakistani government are studied. Evidence of the use of Pakistani English was present in the syllabi, references to Pakistani culture could be found in the syllabi and the curriculum.
