dc.description.abstract | In this thesis I present the first annotated edition of Ystoria Judas. The edition follows NLW MS. Peniarth 7 closely, but it is supplied with footnotes to showcase differences that were found after comparing it with NLW MS. Peniarth 5 and NLW MS. Peniarth 14. The edition itself comes with a short description of these manuscripts and a discussion on the possible precursor of the Welsh text. In this discussion several suggestions of precursors are made and previous suggestion are examined with the use of a typology. | |
