dc.description.abstract | A novel miRNA was discoverd by the orthopeadics group. In this thesis, the effect of this miRNA was examined by comparing the expression of multiple osteogenic differentiation related genes between mesenchymal stem cells (MSC's) which were grown in different culture media. Furthermore was the effect of the miRNA measured between MSC's that were or were not treated with the miRNA. The outcome of this thesis showed that this novel miRNA did indeed show positive results, but further research is indicated. | |
