When looking at <<The Chronicles of Narnia>> one can see very clear religious themes and motifs, which C. S. Lewis himself has confirmed are indeed very present in the series of children's books. There has been research into these themes and their role in the story. This paper ventures a little further into Lewis' personal Christianity, comparing two features of it to their appearance in The Chronicles, namely the Incarnation and the Resurrection. These two themes are important to Lewis and his view on Christianity, so one might expect they play an as important role in the books. This is what the paper looks to find out. It will feature a close reading of the text and comparisons to Lewis' works on religion, followed by a conclusion regarding the results of the comparisons and some suggestions for further research. (features some very bad formulation and sentence structures)
