This thesis presents an edition and partial translation of Airec Menman Uraird maic Coisse ('the Stratagem of Urard mac Coisse'), a medieval Irish text that contains the so-called Tale Lists. The poet Urard mac Coisse goes to the court of high king Domnall to tell the king, via an allegorical tale, of his mistreatment by the king's family. The part presented in translation is the tale Urard tells the king, Orcain catrach Mael Milscothaig ('the destruction of Mael Milscothach's fort')
