T a standardized large scale topography dataset is in development. This dataset is seen as a potential source to derive TOP10NL. The research compares the topographic products BGT and TOP10NL. Differences between the products are presented at the semantic level, while some examples of geometric differences are also given. Furthermore some users are consulted about their perception of TOP10NL. Users expect that TOP10NL has consistent data and geometry. The semantic content seems to be less important. Changes in semantic content, that are expected when BGT becomes the sources are not preferred. Users suggest other sources to be used as input for TOP10NL.
