Procrastination is widespread self-undermining behaviour that negatively impacts individual performance and well-being. Psychological research has identified a variety of factors influencing this complex behaviour. However, how these factors interact and influence procrastination is poorly understood; there is no uniform theory that integrates all these factors. This thesis presents a conceptual model of procrastination built from factors found in the psychological literature. Using the conceptual model, a formalization can be made that captures the different factors. The formalization will be used to make a computational model to run simulations and train the model on empirical data.
