This article is about a research in the environment of Arusha in Tanzania for the most common bacterial cause of mastitis. In total there’s been taken 49 milksamples of cows from 26 different farms. After cooling of the samples there was a California Matitis Test performed to determine mastitis. Culturing of bacteria was done after freezing the samples, because of local conditions. In this research the most mastitis pathogen prove to be contagious. Of all this bacteria Staphylococcus spp. seems to be the most common bacterial cause of mastitis. However there’s been only taken one sample of each cow and there were many barriers to carry out a reliable research. Because of this the outcome of this research should be strongly questioned.
