dc.description.abstract	This thesis focuses on how one can resituate a work of fiction to a different place and time while conserving its humorous tone. It consists of a translation of Lorrie Moore's short story ' How to Become a Writer' and a theoretical text that examines in detail specific problems found during the translation process.
