In recent years, development cooperation is increasingly interested in the question how religion is related to development. With this research I want to contribute to the field of conflict resolution and to the discussion about the role of religion in development in general. This thesis deals with the role of religion in the peace-building process in Poso, Indonesia. For this, institute Mosintuwu serves as a case study. In the research is described what place religion gets in the programme of the institute, in society and in the lives of the participants of the programme. The main conclusion is that more interreligious dialogue is necessary to achieve sustainable peace.
