dc.description.abstractAn analysis on a psychological and sociological level of the influence black veterans had on the various phases of the Civil Rights Movement. This essay focuses in particular on the Vietnam War and its status as a racial event and how it shaped both the black participants of that war and the politicians involved in the Civil Rights Movement.
