The aim of this thesis is to gain an understanding of the motion of`a domain wall under the influence of an electromagnetic field. To gain this understanding, we numerically solve the equation of motion, in which we have added a potential well to simulate impurities and extra theorized torques. We find that the pinning potential indeed pins the domain wall for field strengths below a critical value, the added torques change the order of the graphs and the field strength at which Walker Breakdown happens. Our results may be of relevance to the development of race-track memory as well as a better fundamental understanding of the motion of a domain wall.
