The story of Jan Voet or Johannes de Hese is a fictional Jerusalem pilgrimage from the late middle ages also known as the Itinerarius. This story is known from a small number of manuscripts, one of which was purchased by the University library of Utrecht in 2002. This manuscript contains a Middle-Dutch translation of the text, and has not yet been studied thoroughly because the manuscript could not be found between the sixties and the 2002 auction. In this thesis I have provided a full transcription and English translation of this manuscript, as well as brief chapters on the written tradition, provenance, content and context.
