In this paper I reconstruct and review the moral philosophy of Christine Korsgaard. One of my main points of criticism refers to the way she integrates the concept of practical identity in her theory. This concept makes her model powerful in the sense that it renders a real life picture of daily moral dilemma's we are confronted with. However, this concept at the same time weakens her key claim that the justification of our moral obligations can be derived from our self reflective capabilities.
