This document is the result of my two months internship at the Helmholtz institute of experimental psychology in Utrecht, a project that served as the concluding piece of my bachelor study Liberal Arts & Sciences, with a major in cognitive neuroscience. Under supervision of M. de Jong PhD(c) I worked on some preliminary investigations and tests that were required for experiments that are run as of today. These experiments regard cross-modal attentional cueing and multisensory integration, and are part of a research led by dr. C. Dijkerman, coined It's Personal: Visuotactile predictive mechanisms of peripersonal space. Results of my work are presented in the form of three separate reports: (in order of appearance), Measurement of a Sense of Trustworthiness in Faces Using a Visual Analogue Scale; Gamma Encoding of Images for Various Monitor Displays; and Research Proposal EMG Measurement.
