dc.description.abstractThe episode "A Scandal in Belgravia" from the BBC-series Sherlock has been translated for this thesis. In the first section of the thesis, the history and process of subtitling are examined, and the specific difficulties and challenges of subtitling are explained. Subsequently, a brief textual analysis of the episode “A Scandal in Belgravia” is provided, followed by a concise conclusion on the main findings of this bachelor’s thesis. Lastly, the annotated subtitles that have been created for a large portion of the selected episode of Sherlock are given, along with a transcription of the source text.
