dc.description.abstract	An exploration into the translation of Biblical (Old Testament) acrostics, both abecedarian and non-abecedarian. Their function(s). The reasons why many Bible translators do not maintain this alphabetical format, and the reasons why plus techniques with which some - about ten - translators (into English, Dutch, German) succeeded to maintain it.
