This is a comparative analysis of the different "conceptual maps" regarding violence against women in Spain and in The Netherlands as well as their representations in the press (EL PAIS, ABC, de Volkskrant, De Telegraaf). The thesis departs from an a priori definition of Violence Against Women from a feminist intersectional approach and investigates the patters of inclusion and exclusion in the construction of "current affairs" related to violence against women.
