        Summary
In this thesis performers, people who present a form of entertainment to an audience, at the court of the counts of Holland under the house of Hainault (1299-1345) and the house of Wittelsbach (1345-1428/1433) will be examined. The topic is approached from a historical perspective using court accounts and rentmeester accounts. On the one hand performers in service of the count of Holland will be examined and on the other hand performers visiting the court will be discussed. Also, attention will be paid to the court chapel in The Hague. The results are compared to other European court, such as the ducal courts of Guelders, Brabant and Burgundy.
