Translating the humorous style of Bill Bryson: a rickety, confidence-sapping Enterprise
Summary
This thesis studies how humour in narratives should be translated in order to retain the same humorous effect the target language. I translated three fragments taken from three different books by Bill Bryson that will serve as case studies on the subject. The literature used is mainly taken from the work of Attardo, Raskin and Zabalbeascoa.
