        Summary
To what extent does the maintenance of Serbian-run structures in Kosovo reinforce group boundaries in Kosovo Serb settlements? The Kosovo Serb community is very often perceived by decision-makers in Kosovo – UNMIK and PISG – as being under the control of a manipulative nationalist ideology operating from Belgrade. The purpose of this research is twofold: first to determine whether Kosovo Serbs actually follow what is dictated by Belgrade, and secondly examine whether Serbian-run structures are a conveyance of such ideological support. Evidence collected on the ground in different Serb enclaves in Kosovo will illustrate macro- and micro-political theories on control and ideological support.
